I spoke with the Canadian group and they agreed to have our reunion in LA.
The other option was to plan a Mexican Cruise but majority here in LA have been on cruise and would prefer a gathering on land.
I was thinking to have the main reunion here in LA and after the main event, we can split and go to a Mexican cruise and others who prefer Las Vegas can do so. This is just a thought.
Ivan and Wee are offering their place in Mexico and for the Vegas group, I will try to arrange accommodation.
Attached are the possible hotels but I need your feedback.
The first hotel I checked:
* Sheraton Universal Hotel - Roof top looking over the Valley. The only problem is they require at least 150 participants.
* Hilton Universal - Located next to Sheraton and adjacent to Universal Studios. They a room that we can rent for $500 with dancing floor. They probably have the best buffet in town. I am attaching the lunch menu (Mon- Fri)for $ 19.00 but probably about $38.00 on the weekend
* Pacific Palm Resort - Industry Hill area. Flyer attached. Rooms are probably $135 - 145/per night for group reservation.

sounds okay too.W hen do you have to confirm with the hotel?Jimmy has a suggestion that in order to meet the number of attendees,maybe we can extend an invitation to class'69 but then it won't be just us.Do you think we should be calling our classmates since I think not everyone is going to the website?Keep me posted.....OPHIE
Thanks for posting the info on the website. Inform Canada group and I will take care of US group. I am formatting an announcement and be sending it by mail as well as call those with no e-mail. We might have to invite the class '69 & '71 to join us if we can not come up with enough funds. In such case we can make it as Marianite Reunion in the US for us who can not go home in February for the Grand reunion.
I apologize. You are right about the date, June 6 is Sunday. I think Friday, June 11 is best so we can do something on the weekend, whether to drive to Vegas or Palm Spring and gamble or shop at the Outlet stores (100s of them).

As you know I have been planning our 40th Class reunion but due to unforeseen circumstances the reunion is cancelled. I apologize for I know some are looking forward to this event. But we also know that there's always another day and time to do this. Maybe when the economy gets better, we can revisit this again and probably change the venue.
So my friends keep in touch, stay fit, young and healthy because we have 10 more years before our Golden Anniversary.............ha, ha.
